Faisal began volunteering for The 5ive Pillars Organization, offering vital support to newcomers in their transition. Faisal moved to the United States in 2017 from his native Afghanistan. He worked for multi-national companies as a Sales and Marketing executive after earning a degree in Communication from Kardan University Kabul. He earned two Master's degrees from California State University, East Bay.
Faisal brings a wide range of skills and knowledge, including excellent customer service, management and social media skills. He bridges these skillsets with a passion for refugee resettlement to provide for those in need.
During his own resettlement journey, he worked long hours, attended classes and supported his family in order to achieve the American dream. His wide, Zohra, became a medical assistant while she and Faisal worked towards getting their children acquainted with US culture. His experience is a testament to the American dream that with hard work, sacrifice and struggle, one can succeed.
Faisal is well-recognized in the community for his contributions and engagement, helping many Afghans in various aspects of settling in and continues to provide crucial support in the area of resettlement for Bay Area Afghan newcomers.
