About The 5ive Pillars Organization
Supporting with Afghan Newcomers Since 2021
The 5ive Pillars Organization is an Afghan-American led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aids in the resettlement of newcomer migrants in Northern California.
Sparking out of the Afghan evacuation crisis in 2021, The 5ive Pillars Organization was founded as a community-rooted response to help families resettle with dignity in the San Francisco Bay Area.
What began as urgent relief—delivering food, clothing, and essential supplies—quickly grew into a comprehensive support network for refugees, migrants, and newcomers navigating their new lives in the U.S.
We provide resettlement support - case management, educational/literacy programs, digital access support, and mental wellness programs. Our Community Wellness Navigators not only connect families to housing, healthcare, employment, and other vital resources, but also work directly alongside them—helping complete applications, advocate with agencies, and ensure newcomers receive the support they need.
This hands-on approach makes our case management more than guidance; it is active partnership in navigating the challenges of resettlement.

We also prioritize education and youth empowerment, offering free tutoring, literacy programs, permit preparation courses, and mentorship opportunities.
Our digital equity programs bridge the technology gap by providing free laptops, phones, and training so families can access education, employment, and essential services.
Since our founding, we have supported hundreds of newcomer families across Northern California—distributing thousands of essential supplies, helping youth succeed academically, and connecting families to life-changing resources.
Our outreach now spans multiple counties, and we continue to grow through strong community partnerships and dedicated volunteers.

At our core, The 5ive Pillars Organization exists to restore hope and dignity, and to help refugees, migrants, and newcomers rebuild their futures with stability, opportunity, and belonging.
