Meet Jane
Dr. Jane Pak is the Executive Director at Refugee and Immigrant Transitions (RIT), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides free services to newcomers who have fled violence and resettled locally. Dr. Pak is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco's Master's in Migration Studies program.
Dr. Pak's scholarship is driven and informed by Critical Refugee Studies, liberatory education, and transnational solidarity. Her multi-generational history of forced migration, displacement, and service to the community underscores her commitment to marginalized communities in migration and mobility contexts. Her in-depth experience and expertise on international migration is key to the mission of The 5ive Pillars Organization.
Dr. Pak earned an EdD in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco, an MA in International Educational Administration and Policy Analysis from Stanford University; MBA from Clarkson University and a Bachelor's in Math from the University of Waterloo.
