The 5ive Pillars Organization started its mission in August 2021. With five key elements in mind: Community, Sympathy, Compassion, Unity, and Service, our organization spurred into action to respond to the humanitarian crisis and provide rapid support in the resettlement of Afghan newcomers across Northern California.
To date, we have assisted over 125 families, launched a central donation hub in the East Bay, and have advocated for newcomers’ rights and well being in their resettlement process.
This year brought many challenges, but with our partners like the City of Hayward, the International Rescue Committee, East Bay Refugee and Immigrant Forum, Alameda County Supervisors, Welcome.US, and many others, our community has made a major positive impact on the lives of newcomers.
We are looking forward to continuing our work in 2022. We wish all our partners, supporters, and followers a very Happy New Year!
